After much soul searching, researching, discussing and fretting … I finally did it. I officially withdrew Hannah and Miriam from preschool and composed the letter (I’ll send tomorrow by certified mail) alerting the West Orange school district that Joseph will be receiving his edicuation “elsewhere than at school.”
It’s a little scary, but it feels good. And right.
Our first official act was to go to the library and check out a total of seven books, four books on tape, and six movies. Then we went to the pool.
So give a cheer! And wish us luck!

I know you will be successful at this. I watched you when you were at the beach and you are very in tune with your kids. Congratulations!
Hooray!! Well done! I'll miss seeing you at preschool, but we'll have to be more diligent about making plans.
Can't wait to live thru you and your exploration into The Wolff School. Or The Wolff Unschool? Anyway, I'm very happy for your children and proud of you.
Yay congratulations. You've done the hardest part. Have fun on the journey!
